This thesis examines the judgements of experts as to the potential threat
the development of parapsychology could play in the national
security of
the United States. In order to accomplish this> a questionnaire distributed
to authors of articles on parapsychology was analyzed using the Statistical
Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). In addition, a section is included
on the history of Soviet studies in this field. Recommendations
are made
for areas requiring further investigation. (Author)

The writer discusses Kosan's calculation on information transmission
While he points out that the calculations should not be considered as proof
of
the validity of the magnetic nature of telepathic signals nor if the
existence of telepathy, he suggests that, if telepathy exists and if it
takes place by means of radio waves,
then one should look in the range of
wavelengths of 300-1000 km.

by the two-slit experiment. Since mind occupies tilthe same 'objective' time

then mind is objective. A mind

dimensional n-space containing only a single time axis. Dynamic phenomena
in such a mind world project minute crosstalk vectillors (incertion) into the
real physical world and vice versa! these are normally so minute as to be
virtual. One-to-one correspondence established in the two channels of
crosstalk between a mind world and a physical structure in the laboratory
frame constitutes a living biological system. Time coherent collection of
inception is an exponential effert (a function of the number of coherent
stages) rather than linear; thus multistage time coherence can provide
amplification sufficient to physically materialize a mental phenomenon if
the paranormal channel (time channel) is intact and not squelched by photon
interaction. Tulpas may then be objectified in a llreality format determined
by the modulations by all successive layers or unconsciousness between the
collective unconscious and the personal conscious.

Thus the four-las system is

It contains and resolves all present pari ladoxes since a paradox by

Psychotronics refers to the interaction of milind and matter, and so to a
union of physics and metaphysics. The author advances a fourth law of logic
together with the first three Aristotlean laus of logic to form a complete,
closed metalogic encompassing both physics and met!laphysics. A cluster of an
infinite number of orthogonal 3-dimensional spatial frames> all containing
the same single fourth dimension, or time axis, provides a framework onto
which wind, matter, fields, being, life, and both physical and metaphysical
#hthomena can be fitted and precisely modelled. Thus metaphysics can be
precisely modelled byr and related to, physics. A wind becomes a complete
3-dimensional physical world. From the model, coll! !! Instructs that model life

Psychokinesis, UFD's.
Gody and the collective unconscious can be taken.
Malterialization, dematerialization, and mind linkallge also exist, as does a
specific mechanism for tulpas (materialized thought forms). The tuo-slit
experiment and the Hieronymus device are shown to involve the fourth law of
logic. Feynman's criterion for a unified fileld theory is discussed.
Hubbard's manifold theory of physics also derives the four-law metalosic.

: Investigations into corona discharge photography show that subjects
placed in a high-voltase field exhibit corona that may be recorded
Photographically. The corona formation and structure depend on the applied
fteld strength and gradient, the tyre of film used and the waveform and the
pulse repetition rate of the applied voltage. Specimen properties affecting
corona formation include resistivity, geometry, anid moisture contenti other
factors may also be important. The discharge mechanism is similar to that
of classical point to plane studies. CD photography is successfully used to
study temperature dependence of skin hydration Ilin distilled water and
saline
solutions.
Evidence

that variations in certain
physiological parameters may be used to determine response to psychological

luThe purpose was to study changes in symbolic behavior associated with

Phonetic semantic and socially organized patterning mechanisms and their
combinations were compared in patients with left and right hemisphere
lesions.
The Phenomena of anosognosia, disorientation, reduplication and
confabulation were considered not only from the standpoint of timer place,
Person and event but as highly condensed symbolic representations of
Personal problems and relationships. These fictitious designations of the
environment are perceived as valid when the symbol becomes an element in a
Pattern of social relatedness.
In the course of clinical recovery from
brain traumas confabulations and reduplicative delusion are replaced by

Forty four female subjects met in groups of four, each in a separate

in a control condition,

Bthers, in the experimental condition, a device similar to that utilized by
Deutsch and Gerard save each subject the impression that the other three Ss
had received images on 23 of 30 trials. It was found that, particularly, in

one's initial belief in ESP. The experimental situation was analyzed in

Subjects were asked to indicate whether or not they were receiving ESP
messages, which were presumably sent for 12 succesilisive transmissions. Half
the subjects received shock when they indicated nonreception.
It cas
predicted that shock would introduce conflict and 'nonreceivers'
who
accepted this shock would experience dissonance. | This dissonance wisht be
reduced by rejecting belief in ESP. A high latency of response for females
indicated that they did indeed show this conflict, and these subjects did
reduce their beliefs in ESP significantly more than did the other subjects.
Nonshocked females and males in both conditions showed little conflict and
less change in belief. (Author)

The inherent randomness of
quantum processes was utilized in a device
which should generate the numbers 1,2,3.4 in random sequence.
Preliminary
tests
suggested that at
least one person could, under psychologically
favorable conditions> predict the number which the device would generate
next, with a probability slightly higher than the expected 1/4. As such an
ability of a person would not be consistent with bllasic axioms of quantum
theory,
two experiments were made under extremely well controlled
conditions. In these experiments carefully preselected Persons were asked
to quess repeatedly the number to be generated next.
£
In the first
experiment three persons obtained a total of n=16458 hits out of N=63066
trials.
Here n lies 6.36 standard deviations above the expectation value
N/4. In the second experiment, a deviation of 6.5111115 standard deviations cas
obtained in 20000 trials.
£
Before taking this result seriously as an
indication that a basic axiom of quantum theory might be violated, attempts
for a less drastic explanation of the high scores |ll cere considered.

This report has been prepared in response to a query residing the
purported use of witchcraft, sorcery, and wasich by insurgent elements in
the Republic of the Congo .. Masical Practices are said to be effective in
conditioning dissident elements and their -followers to do battle with
government troops. Rebel tribesmen seem to have been persuaded that they
can be made magically impervious to Congolese army firepower. Their fear of
Government forces has thus been diminished andy conversely, fear of the
rebels has grown within army ranks. The Problem explored is the role of
supernatural or superstitious concerts in a counterinsurgency cambian in

lilt is-generally assumed that experiments involving statistical
can always be designed in such a way that the outcome is inderendent of the
experimenter.
In order to test this basic Illassumption a series of
experiments was performed with carefully designed arraratus chose central
feature is a device utilizing a-quantum process to generate random numbers
modulo 4. The random number generator is connected to four laws and four
corresponding pushbuttons. Pressing any one of the flour buttons trissers a
quantum process and produces a random numbery which is indicated by the
lighting of one of the four lamps. The system is !! designed such that there
should be no correlation between the number (1 .. 4) of the button Pressed
and the number (t .. 4) of the lamp lighted and furthermore, no correlation
between successively generated random numbers. A large number of human
subjects were asked to press the buttons manually with the objective in
mind of obtaining a hish number of coincidences (hits, i.t., event's there

it is
tentatively concluded that there exists,a weak but sisnificant correlation
between the statistical processes operative in these experiments and the
experimenter who initiates the processes.

An attempt was made in this paper to account for a person's showing &
consistent preference between two sambles that differ in variance (i.
€ . :
in degree of riskinesss) but have the same expected value (chere expected
vallue is defined as the sum of all the possible palyoffs from the samble,
each Itiplied
by its objective probability of occurrence) .
Researchers in decision theory, starting from the assumption that the
person must be maximizing utility, have advanced tileo major explanation - for
such a preference.
