Project Interloper

Sessions index

The sessions in the release.

3,723 remote viewing session records from 3,633 documents of the CIA’s STARGATE release, 1980 to 1995. Each entry gives what the form itself records (date, project, session, viewer number, mission) and links to the page it came from.

What is listed

  • GRILL FLAME session analyses and transcripts (715): Mostly 1980 to 1982. Army summaries and transcripts, each headed with a session code (CD-45, CCC15, LVII); the transcripts give the date and the monitor and viewer numbers.
  • CENTER LANE interviews (42): 1983 to 1984. Interviews numbered HU-1064/8312/08, where the last part is the source number.
  • Training session sheets (334): 1985 to 1988. One-page cover sheets from training: viewer and interviewer initials, date, site number, the actual site.
  • Unit session reports (1,750): 1986 to 1990. Typed reports with project number, session number, method, viewer number, mission and tasking.
  • STAR GATE session forms (882): 1990 to 1995. Session information forms, one per session, numbered by project (92-124-P, 94-233-0).

How to read it

  • The list was read by machine from the transcribed text of the release. A misread digit or a missing field is possible, so treat each entry as a pointer and check the page. Fifty entries were checked against the scans before publication.
  • Some sessions appear in more than one document. Copies are merged into one entry, and the other documents are listed under it.
  • Training or operational (1,468 training, 1,295 operational, 960 not stated) comes from the form’s own words (“training target”, “for training purposes”) or the project number. A 1995 project log in the release pairs numbers ending in -P with “Proficiency” and those ending in -0 with “Ops”. Other suffixes are left as not stated.
  • Target type (a person, a site, an event, an object) is an approximate reading of the mission wording, and many missions are too brief or too redacted to class.
  • Viewers appear by the numbers or initials on the forms. The viewer key gives the person behind a number where a published source states it.

    Outside the release

The release does not hold every session. The original transcripts of Pat Price’s nine outbound sessions at SRI in October 1973, the series published by Puthoff and Targ in 1976, are in the Edwin C. May papers at Rice University (MS 0773, Box 21, Folder 3, Woodson Research Center, Fondren Library). Copies of three of the nine are in the release. The nine sessions, with dates and targets
