SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
The near term goal of the captors is to transport LTC Higgins
to the Beirut airport.
The area
indicated by "1" on the map
excerpt (ENCLOSURE 2) and pedominated by such predominant
locales as "B'aqlin, Bayt ad Din and Ma'assir Bayt ad Din" is
highly vulnerable to Isareli intercept and direction finding.
The captors will travel by truck along Area
12
area
characterized by a broken yellow line and representing a route of
travel skirting an apparent series of high hills/mountains.
The
ultimate destination is "Bsaba" indicated as Area "3".
This
route
of travel is an alternate route and represents a departure
from the previous access route located along the coast.
Bsaba is
the jumping off point to smuggle in Higgins to the International
Airport.
The use of the truck will be discarded in favor of the
blue sedan previously described.
Should the captors succeed in
smuggling Higgins into the International Airport area, he
(Higgins) would then be very difficult to find.
