SUBJECT: Reorganization of HUMINT Committee, ICS
-
1. (8) The HUMINT Committee (RC) of the ICS has reorganized to
result in a much smaller body. Henceforth, the HC will consist of
about eight persons, all senior representatives of their
services/agencies. Army will have one representative, Ambassador
Isham will continue as HC Chairman, The new HC will meet every
five six weeks.
2. (8) Sub-committee work will continue through the standing
sub-committees, with others formed as specific needs direct.
INSCOM will continue to be represented on sub-committees as long as
IESCOM interests are involved.
3. ($) Mr. Foss, C/CMD, ADCSOPS-HOMINT has been the INSCOM
representative on the AC until this time. He will continue to be
kept advised of the work of the new (smaller) HC.
4. (U) A copy of the HC memo outlining reasons for this change 15
attached.
