the Commander, Deputy for Operations and other U. S. Army
Foreign intelligence Command (USAFIC) personnel on this
Activity's mission and functions. One outcome of the briefing
was a USAFIC tasking to provide information on a vessel known

and also provided with verbal feedback as to
how well our operational personnel had done on 8 November 1993.
The tasking from the USAFIC was also a "test case" in order for
us to establish our "bona fides". Overall, we did very well
and the USAFIC was pleased by the outcome. With the
disestablishment of the USAFIC on 1 December 1993 and the
impending transfer of U. S. Army HUMINT trained military

Service, it could very well be that this Activity will not
receive any further taskings. We are, however, making
arrangements to brief the Commander of the USAFIA, a former

5. (S/NF/SG/LIMDIS) In sum, this USAFIC directed requirement
was perceived to be an excellent training exercise for Activity
personnel. Especially germane was the timeliness of the
feedback. More importantly, we have now established our
credibility with the former USAFIC and, hopefully, with its
successor organization. One step in our effort to build our
customer base.
