IN A WIDE, HORIZONTAL ARC (AOL- LIKE A HIGH-SPEED JET FIGHTER MAKING
A TURN ) . FOLLOWING THE PATH OF THE ARC , THERE IS A POINT THAT IS REACHED
WHERE THE "SOMETHING IN MOTION" CEASES TO EXIST, IT DISAPPEARS OR
CHANGES STATE SOMEHOW. AT THIS POINT, LOOKING DOWN FROM OVERHEAD,
THE GENERALLY FLAT TERRAIN IS INTERRUPTED BY A SNAKE-LIKE RAVINE, MS
( SEE SKETCH , PAGE 4 ) . THE FLAT TERRAIN IS BORDERED BY LOW , RUGGED,
ERODED HILLS ON EITHER SIDE ( AOL - LIKE A SUB-ARCTIC CLIMATE).
THERE IS AN AESTHETIC IMPACT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TARGET . THERE
IS AN OVERWHELMING FEELING OF STRANGENESS AND THE INABILITY TO CON-
CEPTUALIZE/ DESCRIBE THIS TARGET OR ITS POINT OF ORIGIN IN CONVENTIONAL
TERMS. OCCURING WITH THIS AI WAS A VISUAL IMPRESSION THAT RESEMBLES
A SOLAR ECLIPSE (SEE SKETCH, PAGE 5). THERE WAS A ROUND, BLACK OBJECT
SURROUNDED BY A BLINDING, YELLOW-WHITE HALO. BEYOND THE HALO THERE
ARE JAGGED FINGERS OF YELLOW/ORANGE/RED AND TINGED WITH BLUE, LEAPING
OUTWARD (AOL-LIKE A GAS FLAME).
