... ........ .... Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789R001600800001-6 SG1J Si AFTERNOON SESSIONS 11 SEPTEMBER 1987 While the first site (Prudhoe Bay) was a new experience (ice/water interface) , it went well and no new breakthroughs occurred so I will devote the rest of my comments to the last site. One lesson learned today is that I am editing out AOL internally instead of expelling it, which is one reason I think the session was such a struggle. At one point I had an AOL image of a mountain with caves, I should have expelled that in structure. Lots of frustration on the later pages, with the signal line giving me information in a form I hadn't dealt with yet or really been indoctrinated to. Sensibly, I had only minimal thoughts of system failure, I realized that a "lack of communication" between my conscious and the signal line was going Fortunately the system, being self-correcting, finally gave me an ideogram I could understand. I think more ideogram drills are absolutely essential so that things like the composite ideogram that tried to emerge earlier will come out with little resistance from my hand. Natural and man-made are still not coming through, I will contemplate the difference over the weekend, as instructed, and hopefully the I'll start to identify the difference in feeling. I know the structures I've visited felt different from the natural sites, but the difference has been so subtle, that I can only acknowledge it in retrospect (didn't feel quite as hard as hard, etc. ). Yet the difference in feeling when given a man-made site without an angle has been present strong enough to cause confusion, which means I should be able to get a handle on it. Ed, have an interesting weekend. Approved For Release 2000/08/08 : CIA-RDP96-00789R001600800001-6
