(S/NF/SK) MISSION: Access and describe in a stage two sense training target # 157, Titan. 2. (S/NF/SK) VIEWER TASKING: Encrypted coordinates 0157/3914. 3. (S/NF/SK) COMMENTS: This is the first session in which 032 X did not acquire target in a stage 2 sense. 032 experienced two undeclared AOLs (first desert, then jungle) which drove the entire session. These were due to the fact that 032, an unexperienced viewer, was working in a non-sterile (perceptually noisy) viewing environment (the Garden-room) . This is the reason why the Swann CRV training book recommends that a sound-proof, gray room be used in training. With practice and with a choice of sites that exhibit extremely strong S-2 signals 032 should be able to overcome his difficulty performing stage 2 training in such a sensory stimulating environment. Though experience has shown that a trainee can make the transition to working in a noisy environment effortlessly in stage 4. 032 was extremely distressed at his perceived failure. It was explained to him that this was not a failure and the session was reviewed in minute detail to show 032 how and where AOL kicked in and his feelings during the session at those times was discussed. He explained that he had been pushing the signal line for information and had not felt the normal smooth flow of information. 032 is now aware that these are some of the causes of AOL and how to recognize them. 4.
