SUMMARY OF INFORMATION
THE TARGET SITE CONSISTS OF A GROUP OF STRUCTURES THAT ARE
STRATEGICALLY LOCATED AT SOME SORT OF CROSSROADS. THERE ARE ROADS
AND TRAILS ENTERING THIS COMPLEX FROM EVERY DIRECTION. THIS COMPLEX
APPEARS TO BE SITUATED IN A FLAT, DRY BASIN. TO THE NORTHWEST ARE
STEEP, RUGGED CLIFFS BORDERING A HIGH PLATEAU WHICH IS INTERRUPTED
IN MANY PLACES BY DEEP RAVINES WITH DRY RIVERBEDS. TO THE SOUTH
AND EAST ARE SEMI-ARID, ROLLING HILLS WITH MOSTLY GRASSES AND
GNARLED SHRUBS FOR VEGETATION. OVER ALL , THE CLIMATE HERE IS HOT AND
DRY, EXCEPT FOR THE RAINY SEASON, WHICH OCCURS DURING LATE SUMMER
AND EARLY FALL,
THERE SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING ANCIENT ABOUT THIS SITE, AS IF IT WERE,
IN ANTIQUITY, (AOL) LIKE AN OLD TRADING CENTER OR AN OASIS ALONG A FORGOTTEN
CARAVAN ROUTE IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
