INTERVIEWER TASKING:
Determine the possibility of
Iranian attacks against US Naval vessels and/or vessels of US Naval
interest.
To accomplish this tasking the Source is to be directed to
view three separate "windows" in the future.
These windows are the
week of 6 September, the week of 13 September and the week of 20
September 1987. Each window is to be examined separately and in its
entirety to determine Iranian intentions and actions during that
reporting period. If an attack is perceived the Source is to be
tasked to provide all relevant information pertaining to the attack.

SOURCE TASKING:
Prior to the session, Source was told
that He was to re-acquire a previous signal line from a series of
sessionºHe participated in within the last two weeks.
He was
specifically told re-acquire the site where He had been tasked to
seek out specific weapons in an arid area and to determine intended
use of those weapons.
In this new mission, Source was advised that
He was to return to the same area but not to be concerned with any
specific type of weapons.
In lieu of that He was to determine the
use of any weapons by forces in this area during time windows which
He would be provided with in the actual session. + report on the
region where the weapon is located.
Source did not require the
reading of the previously provided coordinates since He was able to
easily re-acquire the signal line and move immediately into a Stage
Four reporting matrix, a phase of the Coordinate Remote Viewing (CRY)
in which the Source is receiving both physical as well as conceptual
perceptions of the target area and is able to report this
lata in a
concise and useful manner.

Source was not told until just prior to the session that He
would be operating in the CRV mode as opposed to the Extended Remote
Viewing
(ERV) mode.
This did not appear to have any detrimental
affect on His ability to quickly adapt to the proper viewing mode and
to report non-ambiguous and concise information throughout the
session.

SUMMARY:
Source furnished the attached summary which
was prepared by Him and provided to the Monitor within 24 hours after
the session.
The completeness of the typewritten summary has been
compared to the Monitor's notes and all changes, deletions and
corrections have been verified as accurate and acceptable by the
Interviewer.
The information provided in the summary was found to be
complete and did not require further modification, clarifications or
additions by the Monitor.
The nature of the targeting did not merit
attempts by the Source to provide accompanying sketches since the
data provided dealt more with conceptual ideas and planned activities
rather than actual physical items.

COMMENTS:
This
was the initial
session on this
project utilizing this Source.
By providing Him with the specific
cues concerning His previous sessions, the re-acquisition of the
signal line was expedited without any apparent loss of operational
integrity. Source was tasked only on the first two of the above
cited "windows".
In the next session, the final window will be
examined and if need be additional data on the other two windows
already examined will be obtained.

A group of men in light colored shirts, presenting the idea
of a militia, or relatively informal military group, whose
various tasks and missions include defending against something,
guarding, watching, are overly concerned about an external threat
that isn't as serious as they want to believe but which their
very actions may aggravate to the extent that it does become more
of a threat.
This group carry personal weapons and
accouterments, and are dressed only in a marginally uniform
fashion.
They seem relatively "low budget," in that their
equipment and clothing displays a very diverse range of quality
and repair. Explosives, vehicles and rifles are involved, as
perhaps are mortars.
They occupy a very large area, which is
austere, bleak and barren over major portions of it.
There is
some dispute over control of this area. They seem to be third
world in situation, with a possibility being Middle Eastern.
They are passionate and vociferous, wildly supportive of a cause
when they become emotionally involved.
They are loosely
organized, and darker in complexion.

Over the period 31 August 1987 to 3 September 1987 there is
a sense of growing anxiety and disquiet, and building tension and
excitement through approximately 1 Sep and coming to an abrupt
peak, perhaps around the middle of 2 Sep then falling rapidly off
to the first part of 3 Sep, after which a sense of
calm/dissipation/aftermath prevails.
The peak represents some
sort of intense involvement or activity, planned for sometime
around then, and now culminating and arriving at fruition.
Situation involves violent or potentially violent activity.
Several structures are involved -- artificial structures -- they move
and have lots of metal in them.
Beginning around 31 Aug-1 Sep these people gather in
proscribed groups according to task and mission. Activities
involve preparing equipment.
A person standing in front of each
group is speaking to/instructing them. They then move to
assigned locations.
Some are also preparing bigger equipment,
"like" heavy weapons.
Waiting -- tension increases -- for specific
time to come. Then, it's as if the activity reaches a high
crescendo, just before culmination, then falls off/fall apart.
There's an impression of figures lying around on the ground.
It's as if the situation didn't turn out the way it was intended.
Something occurred that was outside the leaders' control.
The
effort involved meticulous planning and coordination as well as
confidentiality, but some things couldn't be planned for or dealt
with, and one of these occurred.
It was "like" a bolt of
lightning out of the blue came down and took the top off the
effort.
Swift, precise, premeditated, timed, and "surgical" are
words that somehow apply to the situation.
This "interdiction"
is not intended to destroy altogether, but to eliminate the
direction and leadership, allowing the rest to disperse and
"dissipate."

There is a sense of "aftershocks" -- violence or unrest in
connection with the events identified as occurring 1-3 Sep.
The
first seems to happen 4 Sep, wherein a smaller group is involved.
It is a sudden, violent, intense, futile, fanatical, emotion-
laden action as a retaliation/revenge/response to the previous
major occurrence.
It's like a "last serious gasp"; the object of
violent action seems to be military in nature, "like" a
headquarters building, admin center, or something -- a relatively
"soft" target in an urban area.
Other events (5, 6, 7 Sep) are
more minor and reactive in nature.
