SUMMARY ANALYSIS
REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION CD-05
1. (S) This report documents a remote viewing session conducted in
compliance with a request from SOD, J3, OJCS, Pentagon, Washington, DC.
The purpose of the session was to provide information relevant to the
hostage situation in the U.S. Embassy compound in Teheran, Iran.
2. (S) The remote viewer's impressions of the target are provided as raw
intelligence data and as such have not been subjected to any intermediate
analysis, evaluation or collation. Interpretation and use of the informa-
tion provided is the responsibility of the requestor.
3. (S) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the document,
GRILL FLAME Protocol , AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing Protocol (S), undated.

(S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions during the
remote viewing session. At TAB A are drawings made by the remote viewer
reference his impressions of the target site. At TAB B is target cuing
information provided the remote viewer.
5. (S) The remote viewer was asked to locate Bruce German and describe
his surroundings. The viewer felt that German was no longer located in
the city of Teheran. He felt that German is now located in some ancient
walled city, with a prominant gateway, near a large body of water. The
viewer stated that he perceived German to be very up tight and nervous.
He also felt that there were two, possibly five other hostages at this
same location.

This will be a remote viewing session for 13 May 1980;
mission time is 0900 hours.

All right #19.5 your time is now 0900 hours.
Your
mission for today is to find Bruce German.
I want
you to identify his location, describe his physical
and mental condition, and identify any other hostages
at this same location.
PAUSE
Relax, focus your attention.

There is a corner of a long two-story building. Center
kind of sticks out in the front. There's a ornamental
arch in the front. High, high kind of peak in the arch.
There's some kind of interior courtyard affect. Blue,
blue stone. There's a blue stone in the arch. There's
balconies and exposed walkways inside. There are rooms
on the left side, second floor.

I don't think this is Teheran. It's a different city.
It's alot hotter. Dusty. It's a very old city with an
old wall around part of the city. Squared, squared stanchions
like oblisk type stanchions by the old wall.
Second floor of the courtyard is supported by pillars.
Pillars on the second floor also. Stone railing.
Looks like there's 3 others besides him so.
Think one of the others is Morehead ..... thick glasses.
One of them has got thick glasses ..

Feel like there's water nearby. Large body of water.
He's very nervous. It's some kind of nervous condition.
He's not sleeping very well
Get the impression
that this is some kind of government building. District
type ... government building. Flat, roofs are flat. Got
a stone, stone lip going aorund the edges.

See some kind of Roman, Roman type building ..... what
looks like very old Roman type building, very close by ....

Gates.
The entrance through the old wall ..... gate is
very old, but in excellent condition. The entranceway
is unique. The Roman, Roman buildings ..... it's like
there is old Roman influence here. Very close to the
water.
PAUSE
That's all the impressions I'm getting.

What was Bruce German's physical condition?

Nervous, very nervous; can't sleep, can't eat. Very
upset.
It's a nervous shaking ... kind of nervous condition.
Think ... uh ... strain .... lot of strain. That's all I get.

Okay. I have no further questions. We are now ready
for debrief.

Page 1. I felt like the city, wherever it's at, is on
a great body of water. It's on a great body of water.
It's like right on the edge of the water.
There's a
definite Roman influence here. You know.
Like remains
of some Roman type ruins ... part of the building and
some sections of road, or something ..... road and walls.
There's like a section of wall where the main gate .....
the old entrance gate is. I got a feeling of two very
thick, strong, oblisque, kind of affects. Like this.
... this kind of affect ...... and that this was like some
kind of an entrance gate. I realize this isn't drawn
very well, but ....... got this kind of affect. I think
it's important, because it might be significant to this
particular town, or whatever.
These were stone. Felt like there was something here.
This wall went this way ..... this was also stone .... this
wall kind of crumbled down, you know ..... and there were
buildings back in here like this.

And this was some kind of a building ..... and that this
was very large. Like this ..... stick figure down here .....
This was a paved road. Just felt like this was part of
an old entranceway of some sort. Not necessarily outside
the city, but, you know, inside the city ....
and that
the view that I had initially the building ..... page 2 ..
....
. that German's in ..... I'm going to try and get the
same view that I had here ......... and I got this kind
of affect. Like ..... I didn't see the right side of the
building but there was like 2 floors ..... the windows
were arched. Very Arabic looking building. And, this
was like a arch inside of an arch inside of an arch.
This entranceway ... with a flat roof ....... and the interior,
the interior of this arch ..... some kind of blue stone
work in here. The hostages were up in this area. And,
there were ..... for sure German, and I felt like Morehead
was up here. Guy with thick glasses, and then I was
getting an impression of two more, two more hostages, and
I'm not sure if it was two more meaning three besides
German, total, or if there was two more besides the three
besides German, you know, for a total of six. I felt
like they were up here. There were rooms up here.
And, this is some kind of ..... there's a road in the front.
There's some kind of official type building, and it was
near water. and there was some Romanes type ruins, you
know. With the stone walls and pillars and stuff down
near the water. The building was more or less an off-
color white, except for that blue stone inside the arch-
way. I had a feeling that ... I broke my concentration when
I tried to sense what German was feeling, you know. His
physical well-being was ..... I got this feeling washed
over me .... this real nervous ... uh ... kind of a frustrating
shaking type feeling, you know. . Like he can't, he can't
eat, he can't sleep, he can't sit still, you know. He's
like ..... almost like he's just pushed to his limit as far
as his ability to cope with his capitivity, I guess.
I don't know how to explain it. I guess that's about it.

TARGET CUING INFORMATION
REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION CD-05
1. (S) The viewer has been exposed to open source news media
information as well as classified overhead imagery and numerous photo-
graphs of hostage personnel. He knew he would be working against the
hostage situation in Iran.
2. (S) At the time of the session the remote viewer was shown the
attached photograph and was asked to find Bruce German. He was asked
to identify German's location, describe his physical and mental condition,
and to identify any other hostage personnel at this same location.
3. (S) The remote viewer has been briefed on the current status of the
hostage situation and told that the whereabouts of the hostages was not
known.
