SUMMARY ANALYSIS
REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION CC89
1. (S) This report documents a Remote Viewing (RV) session
conducted in compliance with a request from SOD, J3, OJCS,
Pentagon, Washington, D.C. The purpose of the session was
to provide information relevant to the hostage situation in
the U.S. Embassy compound in Teheran, Iran.
2. (S) The remote viewer's impressions of the target are
provided as raw intelligence data and as such have not been
subjected to any intermediate analysis, evaluation or collation.
Interpretation and use of the information provided is the
responsibility of the requestor.
3. (S) The protocol used for this session is detailed in the
document, Grill Flame Protocol, AMSAA Applied Remote Viewing
Protocol (S), undated.
4. (S) Following is a transcript of the viewer's impressions
during the remote viewing session.
At TAB A are drawings made
by the remote viewer reference his impressions of the target
site.

TARGET CUING INFORMATION
REMOTE VIEWING (RV) SESSION CC89
1. (S)
The viewer has been exposed to open source news media
information as well as classified overhead imagery. He knew he would
be working against the hostage situation in Iran.
2. (S) At the time of the session, the viewer was told he would be
trying to locate a certain individual.
The viewer was shown the
attached photograph and asked to locate and describe the surroundings
of the individual in the photo.

Ok #36, it's now 1400 hours. At the beginning of the
session, I gave you a photograph to look at. A photograph
of CPT Needham. I want you to project yourself (mumble)
and describe your surroundings.

I have a target area. I don't see him. Ah ... have an
area; looks like a thin coating of ... ah ... snow on the
grass. It's melted on the sidewalks and it's wet. Yea,
I followed these people down the sidewalk. As I went by
this building, I ... I saw a window at ground level. I felt
drawn to this window. I thought he might be in there.

think there's more than one person in there. I can't see

I keep seeing this building with a kind of a rounded ...
rounded roof, just a portion of it ... ah ... curves. I've
been wandering around the building. Inside is just a
maze of rooms and corridors.
I see someone, male, about
160 pounds, and asleep on his right side. There's another
bed in the same room but there's nobody in it. I can't
tell if it's ... if it's Needamer or not. There's two guys ..
there's two guys over there, over there in the corner
playing ... it looks like bridge, playing cards. One's
young and blond colored hair. The one with his back to
me is ... ah ... has dark hair and kind of heavy set, I mean
bigger boned.

I've been trying to get a look at the face of the guy
asleep. He's got a slim build. I assume ... ah ... I assume
it's Needham. It's ... ah ... very quiet. I see narrow
window ... ah ... five or six feet off the floor. It's got

bars on it. I think this room is partially below ground.

Let's see ... an awful lot of blue in here ... blue, some
gold. .. gold colored trim over there. There's a guy
outside, and down the hall, is old khaki colored short

It's very quiet here. Although the lights are .. . some of
the lights are on, they're not very bright. It's. .. ah ...
it's kind of boring around here. Not much going on.
There's. .. ah ... two guys playing cards; they need a shave.
I have a feeling that adjacent to the building must be a
curved walk or driveway because I see the grass is.1 . ah ...
curved. The building. ( .ah. . . appears to have a balcony.
There's trees close by.
I'm getting (mumble) glass in
the front of the building.

minute. There was a bunch of people, big room, I guess
you'Id say ground floor, I don't know, it's off the entry,
arguing like hell, there's got to be 15-20 of them.

wood railings supported by fancy metal work. Overall
appearance of this area is off-white or cream with
brownish or tanish stair treads, brown wood railing.
I don't think I've ever been in this building before.

OK, I was just out there a minute ago. I don't know, for
some reason it ... from the ground in front it reminds me
of a ... a baby White House, Kind of . .. ah ... protrusion,
curved protrusion ... ah ... in a mid-ships forward. And I
see some columns or posts. As I told you a while ago,
there's a ... the grass curves away from the building, it's
telling me there must be a curved sidewalk or driveway
or ...
I just got a glimpse of a. .. what appeared to be
a ... a decorative area in front of the building ... ah ...
could have been a little fish pond or something in the
center of it or a fountain or a statue or something, it's
kind of cemetrically placed in front of the building.

Ah ... front of the building and the stairway and the roof
configuration is new to me. I never ... I don't believe
I've ever seem bars on a window before, looks (mumble)
been there a long, long time.

I get a ... I don't know where the hell I am, but I ... I
went into this room and there's a. . . I see a flame, it
looks like a gas ... gas burners of some kind, blue flame,
I guess it has to be some kind of ... some kind of heating
device. There's a lot of glass towards the back of the
building. Lot of plants, decorative, kind of drying up.

About half of them are gone. There's mostly groups of
five or six together now, and they're still pretty
heated, just a heated discussion. A lot of . .. ah ...
gestulation ... ahm ... with their hands. I know what he
means. There's ... ah ... there's a guy there that keeps
yelling and slapping the stock of a weapon. I think he
wants to kill somebody. The rest of them in that group
don't agree with him.

OK. Let's start drawing then. You had a building with
a rounded roof, inside of it was a maze of rooms and
corridors.

Uh ha. I can't draw that. First time I ever saw the
spiral staircase. There's so many things that I saw
that are probably not all that important, and beside
that, they'ld be hard to draw, but I did get a fairly
good look at the front of the building which I thought
looks something like the front of a baby White House.
You know, there was something I thought cermetrical and
decorative right in front.
I remember there was quite a
few ... ah ... trees and there appeared to be ... ah ... down
here ... I felt the prisioner I saw asleep was in the
right wing; probably in the room that was partial blue
grim, in the basement I would say. Ah. . . this room ... I
don't know what the. . . ah ... shape of the room was where
all the people were arguing, but it had a big table in
there and they were all on their feet. What else did I
see that would be worth describing?

Where was the location of the window in the room?

It was in the right ... the right wing. I was trying to
figure out whether it was this window here - I'm gonna
black it in - or one around the corner. I was trying to
follow the hall and see where they were in the there.
There was a ... a walkway that came by here somehow or
other, and ... ah ... I was going along following some people
along that walkway and I saw that window and I was ... felt
drawn to it and I was trying to get in for a long time,
and ... ah ... that's where I saw the slim person. I can't
remember What else I saw. Oh yea, in the basement of this
building, I thought there was a big tube that I felt I
could have gotton into that went off underground somewhere
and it had some cables in it, but I felt I could crawl
into it if I wanted to, and it was leading away from the
basement of this building. There was quite a bit of glass
here in front of this building and it felt even more in
the back side of the building. That's about it. And when
I got to drawing, I guess it wasn't all that good a session
