MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT:
1. (S) The source was requested to seek out and report information per-
tinent to
is provided only with the
actual target coordinates. The following information is provided in date
order:
a. (S) Information predicted for 22 June 1980: Source reported many
vehicles, trucks, trailers approximately 22 ton or larger in size would
be located at the target area. He stated that many of the vehicles would
be carrying tube type objects. No other information was reported for this
date.
b. (S) Information predicted for 23 June 1980: Source reported that
there would probably be an effort to hide things at the target site by
covering objects with either foilage that was not previously there or
foilage type coverings. No other information was provided for this date.
c. (S) Information predicted for 24 June 1980: Source reported that
efforts to move or cover existing objects at the target site would be nearly
completed at that time. He reported that much string and canvas would be
seen then as well as the entire area being boardered by dark green foilage.
When questioned if there were any trucks or vehicles expected to be at the
target site on that date, he responded that he did not expect there to be
any. He did state that there were very well camoflaged gun emplacements
at each end of the cleared area, the type of gun he could not identify,
but did state that they appeared to be so small as to look like toys.
2. (S) Request the above information be evaluated and comments be provided
to the undersigned in writing no later than 26 June 1980, this will permit
a full evaluation of the source of information for both accuracy and intell-
igence value. Information is consistent with previous information provided
by a different source, reference report CD56, dated 19 June 1980.
