SUBJECT
Change of Scope of Stanford
Research Institute Perceptual
Augmentation Techniques Contract
1. Following up on the generally favorable reaction to our
recent status review from various operation groups, several
specific proposals were made by
SG11
One such proposal is to use our battery of medical,
psychological, and paranormal ability tests to help
SG1B
characterize a proven important asset.
2. I carefully explained the status of our evaluation of
these tests and warned that I could not guarantee the signifi-
cance of the outcome from such testing.
attitude was they
were fully aware of the preliminary status of our evaluation of
these tests but that any further characterization of this asset
is of extreme importance. It is also important that the charac-
terization be completed as quickly as possible. They explained
their reasoning in more detail and their explanation will be
shared on a need to know basis.

3. In response to this request, the current SRI contract
SG1B
will be increased in scope to accomodate the
request.
SG1
SG1B
has agreed to supply the additional funding (approx-
imately 8K) needed to run the tests and compare the results
with our group of subjects. It is currently estimated that a
30 day time extension will be required to complete the extra
studies.
