Memorandum for the Record
Subject: Cost over run at Stanford Research Institute (SRI)
18 June, 1973.
(Brofields measurement Project)
1. The possibility of approximately a 10K cut
over run at SRI has been decursed by the principle
Investigators R . Tory and H . Puthaff . It is claimed
by R. Tary that eventhough there is no legal contractual
agreement, these casts were are obligated to SRI.
Mr. Tary claims that there additional costs were
Incurred to by responding to a request
from. Dr. Gottlieb to increase the scope of
their ties investigation. Mn Tany further claims
Dr. Gottlieb assured them that if the they
should not show the pace of the investigation

for lack of funds . He , Dr. Gottlieb , would #

never explicitly discussed. If M. Tary choones
to pursue this line of reasoning , these facts
will have to be explicitly considered
before a final decision can be made .
